‘I’m not sure where home is’: narratives of student mobilities into and through higher education

چکیده
The concept of a typical pathway to becoming student is pervasive narrative within higher education, with moving away from home live at university framed as the “traditional experience”. In response, recent literature has begun trouble thinking around mobilities. Building on this work, study draws upon semi-structured interviews students who have moved into residences in order surface multiplicity and diversity mobilities transitions. Engaging concepts posthumanist poststructuralist theory, we propose reconceptualisation students’ transitions rhizomatic, ongoing becomings. Furthermore, also materiality experiences, acknowledging role non-human As result, extend emerging work attending more complex depictions mobilities, examine implications heterogeneity, granularity experiences.
